There's no real "quiet week" in Monopoly GO, and Trinket Trove is another one of those tournaments that rewards people who stay sharp. I've been using Monopoly Go Stickers as part of my prep lately, mostly because anything that smooths out progress helps when a time-limited leaderboard pops up. This one starts Wednesday, March 18 at 01:00 and closes Friday, March 20 at 00:59, so you've got just under two full days to stack points and make the rewards worth the dice you burn.
How the points actually land
It all comes down to Railroads. Hit one and you'll get pushed into either Shutdown or Bank Heist, and that's where your tournament score comes from. Shutdown is the slow-and-steady option: 2 points if you bounce off a shield, 4 points if you land the hit. It's not glamorous, but if your board keeps feeding you Railroads, those small chunks keep you moving. The trick is not getting tilted when you hit three shields in a row, because it happens and it's still progress.
Bank Heists are the real swing
Heists are where your placement can change fast. A Small Heist is 8 points, Large is 12, and a Bankrupt hit (three rings) is 16. If Mega Heist is live and you snag the gold bars, that jumps to 24. Then the multiplier does what it always does in this game: it turns a normal win into a leap. If you're rolling x50 or x100 and you line up a Mega Heist, you'll feel it instantly—one good pull and you're suddenly fighting people you weren't even near five minutes ago.
Dice control that doesn't feel like a chore
A lot of players mash roll on a high multiplier and wonder where their dice went. I try to keep it boring when I'm not in position. Low multi while I'm drifting around the board, then I bump it up when I'm about 6 to 8 tiles from a Railroad. It's not perfect, but it's a sensible spot where you're giving yourself a real chance without constantly gambling. Also, watch what else is running at the same time—banner milestones, solo events, anything that pays out for the same movement. If one Railroad hit helps two tracks, that's the sort of "free efficiency" that keeps you competitive longer.
Timing, pacing, and when to push
The leaderboard part is where people get weird. You don't have to win the first hour. I usually save the heavier rolls for when I notice the lobby waking up or when Mega Heist is active, because that's when points per dice looks less painful. If you're sitting on a pile of dice, pick a window and play it hard, then stop—don't bleed rolls into low-value time. And if you're planning ahead for the next co-op grind, it's worth keeping an eye on Monopoly Go Partners Event buy while you're setting your pace so you don't empty your resources right before team content hits.
