U4GM ARC Raiders Where to Get Burn Gas and Stun Fast

ARC Raiders For Science! is easiest when you gas yourself, trigger a Jolt Mine, then eat a Blaze Grenade in the same spot so Burn, Stun, and Gas overlap for the unlock.

Most players don't unlock For Science! by accident, and that's the part that throws people off. The game wants Gas, Stun, and Burn on your character at the same moment, which sounds simple until you try to let enemies do it for you. It almost never lines up cleanly. If you want a consistent method, you're better off setting up the whole thing yourself with the right ARC Raiders Items and treating it like a quick little experiment instead of a normal fight.

What you need first

Step 1 is getting the three tools ready before you drop into a match. For Gas, bring a regular Gas Grenade. That one's easy enough to grab from Apollo or craft if you've already got the parts. Step 2 is Stun, and the cleanest option is a Jolt Mine. It's more reliable than hoping some random shock source clips you at the right second. Step 3 is Burn, which usually takes a bit more prep because you'll need a Blaze Grenade. You can't always just pick that up from a vendor, so check your crafting station and make sure you've saved enough resources ahead of time.

How to trigger all three effects

Once you're in raid, don't try this in the middle of a firefight. Find a quiet patch of ground, somewhere with no patrols, no pressure, no one shooting at you. Place the Jolt Mine first at your feet. After that, throw the Gas Grenade so the cloud forms right where you're standing. Then toss the Blaze Grenade into the same tiny space. The goal isn't damage for damage's sake. You're trying to force the game to read all three status effects at once, and that only really works if everything overlaps tightly. If your spacing is sloppy, one effect will usually miss the timing window.

Why the achievement can feel inconsistent

This is the bit that annoys people most. Even when you do everything "right," the unlock can still be weirdly fussy. Sometimes the fire lands a little off. Sometimes the stun pulse catches late. Sometimes the gas is active, but the game just doesn't seem to count the other two together. So don't assume you messed it up completely after one failed attempt. Stand closer than you think you need to. Keep the throw distance short. If possible, test it in a flat area where the mine and grenades won't bounce or roll away. You'll notice pretty fast that this achievement is more about placement than courage.

A smoother way to repeat attempts

If you're planning to brute-force it, the smart move is to stock extras before you go out. Nothing's worse than getting the setup nearly right, failing the pop, and realising you've got to spend another full run gathering parts again. A few spare grenades and mines save a lot of frustration, and having access to things like Station Material Bundles can make repeat crafting much less of a chore when you're trying to knock this one out in a single session. Once the overlap finally lands, the achievement should appear straight away, and you can stop setting yourself on fire for science.
